Blue Bell Mania!

Well, once again I have the greatest family on earth. Let me tell you about them...
First I have to tell you that two of the worst things about Charleston is that they don't have Blue Bell ice cream or Mrs. Baird's bread. So this excitement all started from one night when I went to Ruby Tuesday's and found out they serve vanilla blue bell with their desserts. I called my mom and dad to tell them about the great find I had just made, and I guess I was a little overly excited because my whole family still thinks I had some margarita's to go with the ice cream!
So it was the week before Valentines day and my friend Cortney and I had decided to go get manicures and pedicures after work. Right after I get out, my Mom calls to see what I am doing. She is acting very strange and wants full details on why I am not home yet, where I have been and how long until I get home. She stays on the phone with me until I get home, then tells me I have to go to the mailbox. There was nothing there so she tells me to try the front door. Nothing there either, but Caisson was already home, so I go inside and waiting there for me was a large box. I look at the return address and much to my pleasure it said Brenham, TX. So as quickly as I can I tear into the box and I find a styrofoam cooler with the words "Blue Bell Creameries" in big blue letters across the side. Of course they used super industrial packing tape to keep it shut (and cold inside) so it seemed like an eternity before I could get to my treasure. Once I finally got in, I found 4 half-gallons of the best ice cream in the world waiting for me to enjoy! They had overnighted it to me, packed in dry ice! It was so hard we had to take an ice pick to it just to get half a bowl out! "Prison portions" as we called it at the Sublette house. I have shared some of it with my friends at work (not too much) and have gained a few pounds, but it has been by far one of the greatest Valentine's presents ever!

It's about time! I think Ethan is 4 months older since the last time you posted something. :) You just can't beat Blue Bell. Bryan and Ginny have gone through the same withdrawal being in Raleigh - they treasure their Ruby Tuesday visits. Hope you guys are doing great. Tell the fam we said hello!

I never remember anything called "prison portions." Maybe you made that up with your other family as a child.

Hey Hogues! I was so missing you guys on my birthday. I told Ryan that I think this big 3-0 was great, but my favorite was with you guys in OKC. I still sing the birthday song!!! We're trying to work on a time to come visit this summer if Ryan can ever get the patients to stop coming (HA! HA!) Miss you!

This is strange...but, I'm a friend of Lisa Starr and I clicked on her links to look at fun pictures and was randomly reading your blog...(I told you it was strange) anyway, I just wanted you to know that there are Texans everywhere who can sympathize. We live in Hawaii where there is no Blue Bell :( So, I miss it too...I load up when I go home!
